Edith Eldora Bercea, 85, of Grants Pass died Jan. 28, 2009, at Ashley Manor. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 21 at Calvary Lutheran Church. One of 12 children, she was born April 28, 1923, in Ashland, Wis., to Ed and Emma Ellingsen. On Nov. 8, 1952, in Las Vegas, she married Aurel Bercea, who survives. She did secretarial work for Western Pacific Railroad and Edison Company and she was a preschool director at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Woodland Hills, Calif. In June 1986, she and her husband moved to Grants Pass from Woodland Hills. She was a member of the Three Rivers Community Hospital Auxiliary and Calvary Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking and traveling. In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Diane Harburg of Newberg, and Randi Tomlinson of Simi Valley, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
