Dr. Sandra L. Hartline

Dr. Sandra L. Hartline, 51, died Sunday, January 3, 2010, at her residence, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM at Lovejoy Hospice 939 SE 8th Street, Grants Pass, Oregon Contributions: Lovejoy Hospice Sandy, as she was known to her family and friends, was born December 2, 1958 in Levittown, PA., the daughter of George Robert Hartline and Patricia L. Spotts. She was a 1976 graduate of DuBois Area High School, DuBois, PA. She graduated with honors in academics and music. She attended Thiel College in Greenville, PA, and graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree. After college, Sandy joined the United States Air Force. She received her Master̢۪s degree in Business Administration while in the USAF, and retired as a Captain in the USAF Intelligence Division. Upon retirement from the USAF, Sandy returned to college and received a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, on May 19, 2001. She graduated 7th in her class. She was most recently employed as a physician at Three River Community Hospital in Grants Pass, OR. Sandy loved music, photography, calligraphy and quilting. She was a wonderful artist and brought joy to many with her talent. Her love of learning was an inspiration to us all. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Dr. Hartline was preceded in death by her father, George Robert Hartline, and her stepfather, Harold S. Spotts. She is survived by her mother, Patricia L. Spotts of Corsica, PA, her brother Michael R. (Deborah) Hartline of Corsica, PA, her sister Dana J. (Allan) Slencsak of Howland, OH, her nephews Michael R.(Kelli) Hartline Jr., Matthew Slencsak, and Daniel Slencsak, her niece, Cyndi (Shane) Burkett, and her great niece, Austyn Burkett.
