Dorothy Anne Zemansky, 83, of Grants Pass died Dec. 20, 2011, at Ashley Manor. A private celebration of her life will be held. Stephens Family Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Zemansky was born Jan. 12, 1928, in San Francisco to Alec and Stella Rudometkin. She graduated from high school in San Francisco. On Oct. 12, 1946, in Reno, Nev., she married Michael Zemansky, who died in 1992. After working many years in the Sacramento, Calif., area, they moved to Grants Pass in 1971 and built their home. In 1989, she retired from the city of Grants Pass as the city manager's administrative assistant. She was a member of Shan Creek Community Church and she enjoyed volkswalking, which took her all over the state of Oregon and to parts of Canada. She also enjoyed singing, dancing, organizing family reunions and being the family photographer. Before moving to Grants Pass, she and her husband enjoyed riding motorcycles. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra McCormick of Grants Pass, and Tina Ames of Bend; a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
