Dorothy "Dottie" Lee Hollenbeck, 90, of Grants Pass died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 23rd, 2:30 PM at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life will follow at the home of son Bob Hollenbeck. She was born on July 20, 1921 in Pasadena, California to Jack and Eunice Lowe. She married Del Hollenbeck in 1945 and they were married for 36 years, he preceded her in death. Together they moved to Grants Pass in 1959 from Salem, Oregon. Dorothy worked for Oregon Technical Products for ten years. She was on a bowling league for many years in her younger years. She loved the outdoors, walking, fishing, playing cards, camping, traveling in her motorhome, dancing, playing golf and spending time with her family was her most enjoyable thing to do. People would always comment of her "SPUNK" nothing kept her down. She was a member of the Charlie Brown Square Dancing and the Elks. Survivors include her son Bob Hollenbeck of Grants Pass; two sisters Edith Dilley of Grants Pass and Evelyn Plyler of Corvallis, OR; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband two sons Steven and Arthur Hollenbeck, brother Jack Lowe and sister Mabel Cunningham preceded her in death.
