Dorothy Jean Franklin

Dorothy Jean "D.J." Franklin, 62, of Grants Pass died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at her daughter's home in Grants Pass. Private family services will be held. Franklin was born Nov. 10, 1947, in Rumford, Maine, to Hollis and Theresa Duplisea. She graduated from Rancho High School in Las Vegas. In 1972, she moved to Southern Oregon from Las Vegas. She was a member of Central Point Little League in the 1980s. She enjoyed gardening, tole painting, camping and her dogs. Survivors include her boyfriend, Randy Vohar of Grants Pass; a daughter, Christina Carver of Grants Pass; a son, James Franklin of Eaton, Colo.; a sister, Elizabeth Hood of White City; two brothers, Richard and Robert Duplisea, both of Las Vegas; and her mother, Teresa "Tee" Duplisea of Las Vegas.
