Dorothy Anne Busey

Dorothy Anne Busey, 86 of Grants Pass passed away October 17, 2014 at her home in Grants Pass, OR after an extended illness. A Memorial gathering will be held at her home, 210 Peckerwood Lane, Grants Pass, OR 97527 on Sunday, November 23, 2014 between 1:00 - 4:00pm. All who wish to celebrate her life with her family are invited to attend. Contributions can be made to Rogue Valley Humane Society, P.O. Box 951, Grants Pass, OR 97528. She was born on June 15, 1928 in Salem, OR to Benjamin H. And Eva J. Rider. In 1947 she married Victor Matthew. They divorced in 1957. On February 23, 1962 she married Ronald Verne Busey in Salem, OR who survives. In 1962 they moved to Tillamook, Oregon then back to Salem in 1969. The couple moved to Grants Pass in 1976. She loved animals and was a proud supporter of the Rogue Valley Humane Society. Her hobbies included collecting vintage Shirley Temple dolls, reading and gardening. She won several ribbons at the Josephine County Fair on her plants. In addition to her husband survivors include a daughter, Vickie S. Matthews of Bend, OR; son, Barry A. Matthews of Salem, OR; daughter, Roxanne M. Matthews of Portland, OR; son, Bradley K. Busey of Salem, OR; daughter, Ronda J.A. Busey of Grants Pass, OR; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her sisters; Virginia Potts and Marjorie Lott.
