Doris Rockholt

Doris Estelle Rockholt, 85, of Grants Pass died June 11, 2008, at her home. Graveside services were held at Ocean View Cemetery in Eureka, Calif. The youngest of seven children, she was born Aug. 4, 1922, in Louisiana. She attended school in Shamrock, TX., until graduating in 1940. She moved to the San Fernando Valley in California, where she worked for the Los Angeles County Clerk's Office and the San Fernando Health Department. In 1955, in Fortuna, Calif., she married Charles E. "Rocky" Rockholt, who died in 1996. They moved to Eureka in 1956. After the death of her husband, she moved to Grants Pass. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Rockholt-Sturm of Grants Pass.
