Donna Lynn Simmerman

Former Grants Pass resident Donna Simmerman passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Donna was born March 19th, 1950 to Donald and Mary Long in Napa, California. She attended William S. Heart High School in the 1960's. Donna went on to have a few different career choices, from convenience store manager to secretary for an insurance company. In June of 1994, she moved to Grants Pass. From 1971 to 1983, she had four daughters.

Donna's favorite season was fall. Donna loved the ocean and planting roses, and being with her family and her dog, Ruben. At the time of her passing, she was survived by her daughters, Christina De La Cruz, Amanda Rumsey, Melissa Simmerman, and Jennifer Leone; her goddaughter, Angela Lothrop; her eight grandchildren, Ashley, Michael, Samantha, Joshua, Angel, Devaun, David, and Julian; and her thirteen great-grandchildren, Gracelynn, Emma, Lilly, Malakye, Khole, Mateo, David, Mason, John, Claria, Charlie, and Hunter Shea. She is survived by her three siblings, Maggie Cooper, Kelly Long, and Larry Long; and her soul sister, Candy Adame. Donna is also survived by her sons-in-law, Joe De La Cruz, Jasen Rumsey, and Edward Reeder.
