Donald Eugene "Don" Sorensen

Donald Eugene Sorensen, 65, of Grants Pass passed away surrounded by family and Friends at his home in Grants Pass. Services with Military Honors will be held Friday, March 11th 3:00 PM at Eagle Point National Cemetery with Pastor Ken Bern officiating. Contributions: Josephine County Search and Rescue. Don was born on July 15, 1945 in Long Beach, California to Harry & Eileen Sorensen. His family moved to Southern Oregon in 1965. He served in the United States Navy from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1970. Don married his High School Sweetheart Elaine on September 5, 1964 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding quads, search and rescue and playing music. In addition to his wife Elaine Sorensen of Grants Pass survivors include two sons, Brian Sorensen of Grants Pass and Danny Sorensen of San Diego, CA; three brothers, Dennis Sorensen of Grants Pass, Jerry Sorensen of Selma and Dale Sorensen of Idaho; stepmother Polly Sorensen of Idaho; two grandchildren.
