Donald Lester Van Blericom, 75 of Grants Pass passed away on Friday October 9, 2009 at his home A Celebration of his life will be held Saturday, November 7, 2009 from 2:00 â€" 6:00 PM at 716 NW Sandy, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526 He was born September 9, 1934 in Grants Pass to Lester and Dora Van Blericom. He was raised in Grants Pass attending school at Jerome Prairie School and Grants Pass High School. He worked in logging, saw mills, plywood, Construction (Dam, pipeline and highway), dairy and ranch work. Donald loved fishing, hunting, horses, camping, gardening and lapidary work. He is survived by his wife Betty Morris Van Blericom. They were married on August 20, 1954 in Crescent City, CA, they had just celebrated their 55 wedding anniversary. They have three boys Donald Jr. and Barbara Van Blericom of Vancouver, WA, Marvin and Nila Van Blericom of Battle Ground, WA, Jerry and Lorrie Van Blericom of Henderson, NV; daughter, Linda and Rick Draper of Grants Pass; two sisters, Arleta Moore and Mildred Luttrell; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
