Dennis D. Marvin

Denny Marvin, 61, of Merlin passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008, in Merlin. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd from 3:00 â€" 5:00 PM at Stephens Family Chapel. A celebration of his life will be held after the viewing. Contributions can be made at the Grants Pass branch of US Bank in care of Dennis Duane Marvin. Denny was born April 7, 1947 in Elgin, Illinois. He served in Vietnam from December 6, 1969 to December 6, 1970. He received a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Air Medal and Bronze Star. In 1971 he moved to his cabin on Quartz Creek Road in Merlin. In 1979 he met his wife Carol. He owned and operated a local counter top shop with his brother until his retirement to his home on the mountain. In addition to his wife Carol, he is survived by his children Cheyenne, Christine, Denine, step-mother Ida, sister Penny, brothers Terry, Mike and Gene (Rocky), Granddaughter Stephaney and 4 other grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
