Darlene Mildred Moore, 70, of Grants Pass died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at her home. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Stephens Family Chapel. Private inurnment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Moore was born Jan. 4, 1938, in Redlands, Calif., to Ardis and Edna McWilliams. She attended Redlands High School. In 1965, she moved to Grants Pass from Redlands. On July 12, 1972, in Reno, she married William Francis Moore, who died before her. During the first few years she lived in Grants Pass, she worked for the Daily Courier, Kelt Chevrolet and another car dealership. She then worked at Caveman Camper for 14 years. She later worked for Josephine County Mental Health, where she worked in administration and management for nearly 20 years before retiring. She was a former member of the Colonial Valley Golf Club, the Elks and Eagles lodges, and the bowling team for Caveman Camper. When her daughters were young, she served as a leader for Bluebirds. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, crafts, golfing, games and traveling. Survivors include a son, Greg Malcolm of Grants Pass; two daughters, Karen Miller and Barbara Stephens, both of Grants Pass; two sisters, Alamae Barker of Calimesa, Calif., and Janet Drescher of Grants Pass; a brother, Larry McWilliams of La Pine; eight stepchildren, Daniel, Brian, Tom and Andrew Moore, Janie Jones, Cathy Lanosa, Eileen Mast and Kelly Paulson; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Wallace Malcolm, died before her.
