Daniel Lee Schneider

Daniel Lee Schneider, 50, of Grants Pass died Feb. 4, 2010, at his mother's home in Grants Pass. A memorial celebration of his life will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Jubilation Fellowship, with Larry Halstead, pastor, officiating. He was born June 23, 1959, in Grants Pass to Phillip Charles Schneider and Martha Love (Smith) Schneider. He spent most of his childhood in Southern California and most of his adult life in Grants Pass. For the past 2 1/2 years he lived in Hawaii. He was a building contractor in Oregon and built pools and spas in Hawaii. He enjoyed entertaining his friends in Hawaii and Grants Pass with barbecues and fish tacos. He also enjoyed spending time in the mountains of Oregon and at the Kaneohe Bay sandbar in Hawaii. Survivors include a daughter, Heidi Schneider of Grants Pass; a son, Eran S. "Spud" Schneider of Grants Pass; his mother, Martha Love; three brothers, Darin Schneider of Grants Pass, Donald Schneider of Sutherlin, and Derek Schneider of Kaneohe, Hawaii; and two grandsons. His father and a sister, Dayna M. Schneider, died before him.
