Daniel M. Garcia, 52, of Grants Pass died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at his home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church. Contributions may be made to Lovejoy Hospice, 939 S.E. Eighth St., Grants Pass, OR 97526. He was born June 3, 1955, in Alamosa, Colo., to Floyd and Mary Garcia. For 25 years, he owned and operated an auto repair and custom paint shop in Salinas, Calif. He moved to Grants Pass in 2004. On May 14, 2005, he married Marilyn Harden, who survives. They were together for 31 years. He attended St. Anne Catholic Church in Grants Pass and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Salinas, where he was an altar boy as a child. He was a member of the NHRA Classic Car Club and the Mustang Club. He enjoyed racing cars, watching NASCAR and traveling, especially to Reno and Las Vegas. He also enjoyed watching the Applegate River and feeding the wild animals and birds around his home. In addition to his wife, survivors include two brothers, Tom Garcia of Grants Pass, and Anthony Magna of Salinas, Calif. Two brothers, Gary and Gino, died before him.
