Danette Jean Miranda

Danette Jean Miranda, 38, of Grants Pass died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at her home. A funeral service was held at Stephens Family Chapel, with the Rev. Ronald Nelson of St. Anne Catholic Church presiding. Interment was at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Miranda was born Nov. 13, 1970, in Downey, Calif., to Dennis and Bonnie Murray. She attended Norco Senior High in Norco, Calif., and earned her bachelor's degree from California State University at San Bernardino. In 1997, she moved to Grants Pass from Southern California. In August 2000, in Grants Pass, she married Juan C. Miranda, who survives. She was a residential case manager for Southern Oregon Child Study and Treatment Center. She enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, shopping and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Evan Miranda of Grants Pass; her father, Dennis Murray of Grants Pass; and two brothers, Dennis Murray of Port Matilda, Pa., and Darren Murray of Rialto, Calif. Her mother, Bonnie Murray, died in June 2008.
