Curt Mote, a former Grants Pass resident, died in his parents home with his family present, on Wednesday September 28, 2011, after an aggressive melanoma spread to his heart. Curt was born at Tri City Hospital in Oceanside, California to his parents delight, a bundle of joy for the entire family. He grew up in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California, and moved to Grants Pass in his sophomore year graduating from Grants Pass High School in 1981. He then attended OIT in Klamath Falls to hone some of his technical skills, and returned to the San Diego area. There he worked in the sporting goods retail business for many years until he started employment with AT&T, working up to the job as a Building Specialist for AT&T Corporate Real Estate, a job he truly loved! He was everyone's problem solver. A mister fix-it no matter what was involved. He loved and owned several Ford Mustangs in his 48 years, the first one being in the family for over 30 years. Curt was and is one of a kind and we look forward to our next chance to embrace in the after life - "eternal love" Survivors include his parents, Ken and Jackie Mote of Grants Pass, his Nana Mildred Burton of Grants Pass, his sister Debbie Mote-Watson and brother in law Don Watson of Medford, brother and sister in law Andy and Connie Mote of Grants Pass, nieces Sawyer Watson and Kendra Mote of Medford, and nephew Taylor Watson of Medford, and many other cousins, aunts and uncles throughout the nation. A private family memorial will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you do something kind for others as Curt always did.
