Craig Duane Goodwin

December 3, 1956 — August 15, 2013

Craig Duane Goodwin, 56, of Grants Pass died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday August 15th. Craig was born to Shirley and Duane Goodwin on December 3rd, 1956 in Inglewood California. The family moved to Rogue River in 1969, where he eventually met and married Donna Kocsis. They later had their daughter Amber while living in California. Craig had a passion for working on anything with a motor, and went to school for marine mechanics. Craig was an innovative thinker and had a brilliant mind for mechanics. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and was a spectator at many racing events. He filled his time managing multiple rentals for both his friends and parents. He thrived on buying project cars, trucks, and toys off Craigslist and fixing them up, and always looking for ways to make things go faster and produce more horsepower. His current project included fixing up a motor home and sand rail to take to the beach. Craig always looked at things and saw the potential in them to be great. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Craig is survived by his daughter Amber Tocher of Rogue River, his granddaughter Hudson Tocher of Rogue River, his parents Duane and Shirley Goodwin of Rogue River, sister Kimberly Jobe of Rogue River, and best friend Karla Nelson of Grants Pass. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmothers Marion Richards and Irene Goodwin both of Rogue River, and sister Deanna Goodwin-Harrington of Rogue River. The family will be having a celebration of life brunch on Saturday, August 31st at 1:00. The event will be held at the home of his daughter located at 4390 Pleasant Creek in Rogue River. This will be open to anybody who would like to share stories and memories of Craig and support the family in this hard time.
