Charles Leon Mazzola, 81 of Grants Pass passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Haven House Adult Foster Home in Grants Pass, Oregon. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery. 2763 Riley Road, Eagle Point, OR 97524. Charles was born on December 14, 1932 in Culver City, California to Antone and Mayble Mazzola. He grew up in Escalon, California and attended Escalon High School. He was Army Airborne during the Korean War. He later owned a number of bars in the Modesto, California area. He married Peggy Prichard, and they later divorced. He moved from California to Bend, Oregon and then to Grants Pass. Charles was self-employed. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snow skiing, and going to the gym. Survivors include his sons, Steve Mazzola of Grants Pass, Oregon and Chuck Mazzola of Bend, Oregon; and daughter Karen Mazzola of Groveland, California.
