Cecelia Rose Perez

Cecelia Rose Perez, 85 of Grants Pass passed away, Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass, Oregon. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, 2:00 PM at Calvary Crossroads Church in Grants Pass. Cecelia was born on December 23, 1923 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Thomas and Rosa Twiss. During her childhood she was raised on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. During most of her adult life she lived in the Bay Area in California. She married Manuel "Rick" Perez in San Francisco, he preceded her in death. Cecelia moved to Grants Pass from Washington in 1999. She worked in her early years as a telephone operator and spent 27 years in San Francisco at Raytheon Corp. as an inspector / assembler. Cecelia was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, bingo, westerns, mostly her grandkids activities crocheting, sewing, her family was most important. Survivors include her son, Edward and Daye Perez of Grants Pass; daughter, Sheryl Le Beau of San Jose, CA; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Rick she was preceded in death by two sons, David and Freddie; two sisters and two brothers.
