Carolyn Louise Slye, 79 of Grants Pass passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Maureen's Adult Foster Care in Grants Pass. Arrangements by Stephens Family Chapel, Grants Pass, Oregon. Carolyn was born on April 28, 1934 in Denver, Colorado to Marion & Agness Lewis. She was raised in Southern California. Carolyn had 3 daughters and she worked as an office manager. She married Charles Slye on February 12, 1966 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She moved to Oregon in 1979 from Anaheim, California, but moved back to California in 1984. In 1982, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and after she retired, she moved back to Oregon in 1999. She attended Calvary Church of Grants Pass. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with family, picnics and the beach. Survivors include her husband, Charles Slye of Grants Pass, OR; daughters, Debi J. Kobs of Grants Pass, OR and Kim Etchamendy of Bakersfield, CA, 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Valerie Pope of Grants Pass, OR who passed away on October 14, 2010 and her grandson, Jesse Kirchner of Grants Pass, OR who passed away in October of 1991.
