C. Raymond Scott

C. Raymond Scott, of Grants Pass passed away July 29, 2014 at Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, Oregon. A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 2, 2014, 1:00pm at Gateway Seventh-day Adventist Church. Contributions can be made to the Ray Scott Memorial Fund at U.S. Bank. Raymond was born on January 7, 1952 to Delbert and Katherine Scott in Grants Pass, Oregon. He graduated from Illinois Valley High School. He was raised in the Illinois Valley later moving to Grants Pass, Oregon. In 1973 he married Barbara Lincoln in Grants Pass, Oregon and had a daughter, Missy. They later divorced. On June 1, 1984 he married Deborah Kelley in Grants Pass. He was a devoted employee for MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc. for forty plus years. He attended Gateway Seventh-day Adventist Church in Grants Pass and was involved in many activities within the church with his wife Debbie. He was a founding member of Herbs Liars Club and also a member of IVHS Alumni. He enjoys fishing, hunting, bowling, football at IVHS, spending time with his grandchildren and his four puppies. In addition to his wife survivors include his daughters, Melissa Dawn Steward of Portland, Oregon and Tammie L. Logan of Grants Pass, Oregon; brothers, Ben Scott of Grants Pass, Oregon, Albert Scott of Fairbanks, Alaska and Denton Leroy Scott of Eagle Point, Oregon; mother in law, Lola Scott of Grants Pass, Oregon and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Kathleen Scott on March 16, 1991.
