Brett York

Brett York, 43 of Grants Pass passed away Monday, February 16, 2009 at his home. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Stephens Family Chapel. A celebration of Brett's life will be held on Sunday, February 22nd, 2:00 PM at Redwood Christian Church. Contributions: Grove Christian Camp in care of Redwood Christian Church 4995 Redwood Avenue, Grants Pass, Oregon 97527 Brett was born on January 9, 1966 in Grants Pass to Harold and Carolyn York. He attended Grants Pass High School where he graduated in 1984. Brett joined the United States Air Force on April 18, 1986 and served until he received his honorable discharge on January 11, 1990. He received his Associate in Arts degree Electrical Engineering. Brett was currently working for York Electric here in Grants Pass. On November 12, 1994 in Grants Pass he married Gretchen Ahlstrom who survives. Brett was a member of Redwood Christian church where he enjoyed volunteering to the church. He also enjoyed Golfing, Dirt Bike riding and spending time with family and Friends. In addition to his wife survivors include two children, Daughter Megan York and son Matthew York; parents, Harold and Carolyn York; brother, Danny York; two sisters, Dana Ketelsen and Nikki Apland all of Grants Pass.
