Brenda Hopgood-Whitmore

Brenda Hopgood-Whitmore, 59, of Applegate died Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at her home. A celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Knaughty Pine restaurant in Murphy. She was born Dec. 20, 1949, in Toronto to Ernest and Thelma Hopgood. In 2002, she moved to Applegate from Redding, Calif. On June 15, 2002, in Applegate, she married Bud Whitmore, who survives. She was a member of ABATE of Oregon and she enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, reading and gardening. In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Daryl Nelson of Red Bluff, Calif.; a brother, Les Hopgood of Toronto; and two grandchildren.
