Bonnie Jean Murray

Bonnie Jean Murray, 66, of Grants Pass died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at her home. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Stephens Family Chapel, with Ken Bern, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Murray was born Oct. 1, 1941, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Cleo and Clara Hess. She graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in 1960. On Nov. 27, 1960, in Des Moines, she married Dennis Murray, who survives her. They moved to Grants Pass in 1994 from Southern California. She enjoyed playing slot machines at Seven Feathers, watching soap operas, playing computer solitaire and watching the animals in and around her home. In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Dennis M. Murray of Pennsylvania, and Darren C. Murray of Rialto, Calif.; a daughter, Danette Miranda of Grants Pass; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
