Robert J. "Bob" Blake, 75, of Grants Pass died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at his home. A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, with the Rev. Ron Nelson officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Eagle Point National Cemetery. He was born June 7, 1933, in Los Angeles to James and Colleen Blake. From 1948 to 1952, he attended Boys Town, where he was a member of the Boys Town Choir, traveling and singing all over the United States. On June 27, 1952, he joined the Air Force and served until his honorable discharge on June 4, 1956. On Oct. 20, 1956, in Newfoundland, Canada, he married Margaret "Margie" Ryan, who survives. For many years, he worked as a production control planner in the electronics field. In 1993, he and his wife moved to Grants Pass from Simi Valley, Calif. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church and he enjoyed camping, woodworking and singing. In addition to his wife, survivors include a brother, John Blake of Simi Valley, Calif.; and a sister, Jean Schmoegner of Piru, Calif.
