Beverly Jo Mathews

Beverly Jo Mathews, 76 of Grants Pass passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009 at her home in Grants Pass. Private Family Services will be held at a later date. Beverly was born Beverly Jo Campbell on December 24, 1932 in Kansas City, Kansas to Pryor and Sadie Campbell. She married Martin Glen Mathews on July 30, 1947 Las Vegas, Nevada, he preceded her in death on August 28, 2007. Beverly worked for many years in the bonding department in Aircraft manufacturing. In 1993 they moved to Grants Pass from Paris, California. In 1994 she became co-owner of Smarty̢۪s Drive-in on Park Street with her daughter Ellen Mathews. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family. Survivors include two daughters, Ellen Mathews and Glenda Runnels of Grants Pass; ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three children, two daughters, Carol and Sheral Mathews and one son Clifford Mathews
