Betty Lou Vobora

Betty Lou Vobora, 76, passed away October 19, 2011 at her home in Grants Pass, Oregon. A celebration of Betty's life will be held Thursday, November 3, 11:00 AM at Fuiten, Rose & Hoyt Funeral Home, 2308 Pacific Avenue, Forest Grove, Oregon. A reception will follow at the Gaston Fire Hall in Gaston, Oregon. Contributions: Lovejoy Hospice, 939 SE 8th Street, Grants Pass, Oregon 97526 Betty was born on March 15, 1935 in Grant, Nebraska to Harry and Thema Waters. Betty married Stanley Vobora in April 1962 in Reno, Nevada. In 2006 they moved from Gaston to Grants Pass. She enjoyed their farm in Gaston, ceramics and spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband survivors include three children, son Tory Vobora of Grants Pass, daughter Pepper Scholtz of Salem and daughter Toni Hoodenpyl of Gaston, OR; brother Vernard Walters of Ocala, FL; two sisters Deloris Samples of Red Oak, IA and Loneta Gardner of Osmond, NE; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her parents and her brother Kermit Waters preceded her in death.
