Betty Morgan, 86 of Grants Pass passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at her son's residence in Grants Pass, Oregon. No services are planned. Betty was born on June 4, 1927 in Chico, California to George & Doris Parsons. She grew up and lived most of her life in Campbell, California. She married William H. Morgan on June 8, 1947 in Campbell, California. She graduated Campbell High School in 1944 and graduated from beauty school in 1946. She worked as a hairdresser briefly, but spent most of her time as a stay at home mom. When her husband retired, they moved to Brookings, Oregon, and then moved to Grants Pass 20 years later. Betty was involved in Pelican Bay Arts Association in Brookings, Oregon, Brushstokers in Grants Pass, Oregon, and Crimson Jewels Chapter of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed art, especially acrylic and oil painting. Survivors include her daughter, Mychal Sneed of Franklinton, Louisiana; Sons, William Morgan of Grants Pass, Oregon and Donald Morgan of Walla Walla, Washington; Brothers, Gary Parsons of Rogue River, Oregon and Gail Parsons of Kalispell, Montana; Sister, Sandra Banks of Green River, Wyoming; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Morgan in 2004 and granddaughter Gretchen Mettler.
