Betty Johnson

Bessie "Betty" Johnson, 89, of Grants Pass died April 21, 2009, at Three Rivers Community Hospital. No services are planned. Johnson was born May 7, 1919, in Omaha, Neb., to Frank and Jenny Hagerman. In May 1949, in Orange County, Calif., she married Edwin Johnson, who died in 1991. They moved to Grants Pass from Southern California in 1982. She was a member of the Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist Church and she enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family. Survivors include four daughters, Linda Johnson of Grants Pass, Janet Madden of Seattle, Judy Branum of Santa Ana, Calif., and Alice Tindel of Palm Springs, Calif.; two sons, Larry Young of Riddle, and Ken Young of Tamaqua, Pa.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A son, Ed Johnson, and a daughter, Lois Johnson, died before her.
