Bertina Frances Hilliard

Bertina Frances Hilliard, 91 of Grants Pass passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at her residence in Grants Pass, Oregon. For online condolences and tributes please visit stephensfc.com. Arrangements by Stephens Family Chapel, Grants Pass, Oregon. Bertina was born on March 16, 1923 in San Francisco, California to August & Frances Petry. She went to Catholic school in California. She grew up in San Francisco, and then moved to Arizona, and eventually, southern Oregon. She worked as a radiologist. She married John Hilliard and the two of them traveled all over the world together. She attended St. Anne's Catholic Church in Grants Pass. She also volunteered at the Rogue River Library & Museum. She was involved in the organization "Friends of the Symphony." Bertina enjoyed reading and listening to Opera and Irish folk music. Survivors include 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Hilliard, who passed away in 2006.
