Bennie Pauline Smith

Bennie P. Smith of Grants Pass went home to be with the Lord on February 6, 2011 at the age of 93 years young. Private Internment will be held at the family plot at Deer Creek Cemetery in Selma. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Born to Bennie P. Knight in Tribbey, Oklahoma on December 11, 1917. She moved to Atwood Kansas at about 13 years of age. Bennie married Lloyd E. Smith of Burntwood, Kansas on September 21, 1935. They moved to Victor Montana in 1939 then to Cave Junction in 1952, they moved again to Cloverdale, CA, then to Middleton, CA, to Sherwood & Woodburn Oregon then to Grants Pass where she passed away. He husband Lloyd passed away in 2002. Bennie is survived by four sons, Rudy M. Smith of Middleton, CA, Darrel D. Smith of Yamhill, OR, Larry L. Smith of Selma, OR and Don L. Smith of Sherwood, OR; daughter Delores A. Yellin of Grants Pass; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.
