Bennie B. Simmons

Bennie B. Simmons, 93 of Cave Junction died Monday, February 5, 2007 at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass. Interment will be held at a later date at Hopeland Cemetery in Hopeland, California Bennie was born on May 22, 1913 in Alma, Arkansas to Silas & Lou Belle Reed. She graduated from Keota Oklahoma High School. Bennie married Grady Simmons on August 19, 1933 in Keota, Oklahoma. Bennie worked for the California State Hospital System as a psychiatric technician until her retirement. In 2004 she moved from California to Cave Junction. Bennie enjoyed being with her family. Survivors Include: 2 Sons, Jim and Bob Simmons of Cave Junction, Oregon; Daughter, Betsy Joiner of Cave Junction, Oregon; Sister, Gladys Rebo of Salem, Oregon; Grand-daughter Erin Simmons on Ukiah, California; 4 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Grady Simmons; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
