Barry Dalton

Barry aged 71 was born Thursday April 30, 1953 and departed this earth Friday July 5, 2024. Barry was born in Portland, Oregon, the eldest of three siblings, Barry had two younger sisters, Karen and Denise. In the summer of 1956, the family moved to Southern California, so his father, Bill could pursue a career for his family. They loaded up the family's 1939 Packard car and headed to California. As a young lad, Barry was always very curious in learning how things operated. He built crystal radios as a youngster. Barry would love to take things apart and put them back together again. His dad had several nicknames for the kids. Barry's nickname was Dr. De-structo or sometimes Due-vis. He enjoyed television programs such as Mr. Wizard show. He never skipped a beat watching and learning things at a very early age. He loved that. When Barry was a pre- teen, he purchased radios and televisions at second hand stores and refurbished them. At that time, little did anyone know that this was the start of his business, The Antique Radio Doctor. Barry married in 1987 and he and his wife, Eva had a daughter, Jenny. After living in Southern California, they all relocated to Grants Pass, Oregon. Barry was very passionate about his business, The Antique Radio Doctor. He repaired televisions and old radios from local patrons and many from across the United States. Barry loved his family and friends. He loved nature and the beautiful animals that God offered us. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, fishing and a fried chicken picnic at the park followed by a nap under the trees. He was such a kind, caring man and funny too! Heaven is rejoicing to have another of God's children back home. It's not goodbye, but see you later. Barry is preceded in death by his parents William (Bill) Dalton and Elsa Gottwald Dalton, and his beloved kitty, Pete who are all now reunited in God's arms. Barry is survived by his beloved daughter, Janette (Jenny) Dalton, and his two best friends and sisters, Denise Dalton and Karen Wemp. "I love you forever, dad. Until we meet again" - Jenny
