She played the piano, clarinet, and tenor sax in her high school band program and was active in drama. She went to a one-room school through the 8th grade and then high school about ten miles away. While studying nursing in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, she was introduced to her future husband, Stan Faller, a professional architect. After they married, they moved to California in 1958. Faller was a full-time nurse beginning in 1970. She worked for 20 years at Fresno Community Hospital, beginning as a nurse and moving into the administrative field. She was the manager of the OB/GYN unit for many years. She earned a master's degree in organizational behavior and ended her career as the Chief Nursing Officer for Delano Hospital. Faller and her husband were both pilots and owned several private planes over the years. She was a member of the "99s" and participated in three Transcontinental Airplane Races for all women pilots - known as the "Powder Puff Derby". Faller and her husband were active members of Easterby Presbyterian Church in Fresno for about 45 years. They were both ordained deacons and elders. Her husband died 1987. Faller moved to Grants Pass in 2007 to retire with her daughter's family. She has actively attended Shan Creek Community Bible Church for the past three years. This church home provided her the spiritual balance she has known and needed all her life. Survivors include her three children, Stanley Chester Faller II and Susan Faller-Mitchell, of Grants Pass, and Eric Faller, of Brentwood, CA. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two brothers. Her husband, Stanley Faller, parents, Raymond and Mabel Williams, brother, Harold Williams, and sister, Virginia Stegner, preceded her in death.
