Arthur W. Fitchie

Arthur William Fitchie, 79, of Grants Pass died Dec. 14, 2008, at Three Rivers Community Hospital. A celebration of his life will be held in the spring. Fitchie was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Westport, Minn. For many years, he lived in Fairfield, Calif., where he owned Art's Landscaping. He moved to Grants Pass in 1998 from Fairfield. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include four sons, Steve Fitchie of Grants Pass, Scott Fitchie of Vacaville, Calif., Carl Fitchie of Minnesota, and Bill Fitchie of Sacramento, Calif.; a brother, Earl Fitchie of North Bend; and eleven grandchildren.
