Anne Wilson

Anne Margaret Turner Wilson, aged 100 passed away peacefully, on March 30, 2018 in Grants Pass, Oregon. Anne was the daughter of Dr. Hunter Heiner Turner and Olive Jones Bulger Turner Of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, born November 11, 1917. Married in 1942 to James Godfrey Wilson, Jr., son of the Rev. James Godfrey Wilson and Catherine Thomson Wilson of La Jolla, California and Chapel Hill, N.C. She is pre-deceased by daughter Phyllis Turner Wilson. Anne is survived by son, James Godfrey Wilson of Grants Pass, Oregon, daughter Anne Napier Wilson Southern, of Ithaca, N.Y., daughter Sarah Elizabeth Wilson McLain of Oneonta, AL, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Anne retired and moved to the State of Oregon from the East Coast after a brief visit where she fell in love with the area in the mid 1980s. Anne is known locally for her active involvement in politics and volunteer work as a member of Three Rivers Hospital Auxiliary. Services will be held at The Bridge Fellowship located at 2166 Vine Street on Saturday, April 21st at 12 noon.
