Anita M. Brackenbrough

Anita M. Brackenbrough, 77, of Grants Pass died Oct. 18, 2011, at her home. A celebration of life will be held Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. at Stephens Family Chapel. Brackenbrough was born March 9, 1934, in Lacomb. On Oct. 22, 1950, in Rockaway Beach, she married Darrell Brackenbrough, who survives. From 1959 to 1972, she lived in Grants Pass. From 1972 to 1976, she lived in Bend. She then moved to the Salem/Keizer area, where she lived for 25 years before returning to Grants Pass. She was a homemaker and worked part-time as a seamstress. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, survivors include three children, Christina M. LaFleur-Erickson of Veneta, Eugene Brackenbrough of Bend, and Ronda Stanton of Medford; two sisters, Gayle Smith and Kelly Itzen; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A sister, Judy, died before her.
