Aline May Helm

Aline May Helm, 83, of Grants Pass died Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at her home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stephens Family Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Helm was born July 18, 1925, in Enid, Okla., to Alfred and Lula Cooper. In February 1943, in Enid, she married Donald Leonard Helm, who died Aug. 4, 1979. They moved to Grants Pass in 1962 from Southern California. She worked for Southern Oregon Hospital for 28 years in the dietary department. She attended Church of Christ in Medford and she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Martin of Rogue River, and Carol Lantzer of Grants Pass; a son, Don Helm Jr. of Florence; a sister, Ruby Thompson of Grants Pass; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
