Alberta Tyrie

Alberta Tyrie, 76 of Grants Pass passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 at her home. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, September 17th 2:00 PM at Jerome Prairie Bible Church. Private interment will be held at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Contributions: American Cancer Society She was born Alberta Toll to Harley and Nella Toll on November 4, 1933 in Arrol, Missouri. Alberta married Marvin E. Tyrie on November 25, 1956 in Los Angeles, California. In 2003 Marvin and Alberta moved to Grants Pass from Norwalk, California. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, canning, bowling, fishing. Spending time with her family was her biggest passion. In addition to her husband of 53 years survivors include two daughters, Lyn Hiatt of Grants Pass and Brenda Hill of Villa Park, CA; son Darryl Tyrie of Grants Pass; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
