Adelaide Bee Porter, age 90, passed away February 2, 2014, at home in Grants Pass, OR. after a brief illness. The second of 10 children, Adelaide was born on February 17, 1923, in Dilly, Oregon to Louie and Edna (Wilbur) McCrady. (Edna married William "Bud" Hoskins in 1934) She grew up in the Kerby / Cave Junction area graduating from Kerby High School in 1941. In 1942, she met and married William Wayne Porter in Eureka, CA. After WWII they settled in La Porte, IN. Addie and Bill returned to the Illinois Valley in 1988 living just outside of Cave Junction. Adelaide is survived by 2 sons; William Jr. and Joseph; a brother Richard McCrady and her sisters Sara Jones, Mary Hoskins, and Alice Steele; 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 3 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Porter Sr. in 2002, 2 McCrady sisters; Dorothy and Norma, and 3 Hoskins brothers; Frank, Joe, and Doug.
